Job description

CSI Sands (N.E.) operates state of the art processing facilities to produce industrial silica sand products in Brevort, MI, Buffalo, NY and Cleveland, OH.
We are currently searching for a Laborer to be an integral part of our team in Brevort, Michigan.
Job Duties:
  • Ensure safe work operations and full compliance to operating procedures.
  • Receive directions from Shift Lead and Manager regarding day-to-day operations and tasks.
  • This work can include manual labor work, helping with plant maintenance, or operational and maintenance work.
  • Trouble shoot mechanical issues.
  • Perform minor repairs when they occur with the conveyors and other pieces of plant equipment.
  • Assists in the maintenance works of the equipment.
  • Provide on-going support and assistance plant operations
  • Maintain tidy, organized, clean, safe work environment around site and equipment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:
  • Mining experience and/or familiarity with maintenance of mining equipment is an asset.
  • Physically fit to do manual labor and heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Trouble shooting and repair experience is an asset.
  • OSHA or MSHA certification would be considered an asset.

Work Hours:
  • Rotating shift between night and days every other week.
    • The Day schedule is: 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM
    • The Night schedule is: 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM
  • Overtime may be required.
