What does a mining contractor do?

A typical day for a Mining Contractor involves overseeing on-site mining operations, coordinating teams of laborers, equipment operators, and technical specialists, and addressing any challenges that arise. You may spend time inspecting safety protocols, liaising with site engineers and project managers, and ensuring all work adheres to regulatory standards. Administrative duties such as submitting reports, project planning, and communicating with stakeholders are also common. • Collect and analyze health and safety data, preparing reports for management that highlight performance metrics, trends, and areas for improvement.
  • Mentor junior staff and contribute to the growth of WSP's mining EPCM practice.
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources, and conduct, and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.

Who You Are
