Job description

ECHO AFC Transportation is the largest and fastest growing privately owned Charter Transportation Company in Texas is seeking qualified diesel and bus mechanics to join our team in our Houston facility. We operate a fleet of diesel and gas powered motor coach buses, school buses, transit buses, mini buses and vans.
Mechanic Responsibilities
  • Mechanic/maintenance shop operates 2 shifts, 7 days a week
  • Schedules are flexible
  • Mechanic must be able to work independently
  • Additional training programs are available
  • Position is safety sensitive

Required tasks include preventive maintenance inspections, emergency and road failure repairs, and general maintenance on electrical, HVAC, brake and accessory systems.
  • Transit and Motorcoach HVAC experience
  • Wheel chair lift experience helpful
  • Mechanics must own basic hand tools
  • Basic understanding of diesel engines, tires, air brake systems, HVAC systems, electrical systems, and able to perform necessary preventative maintenance and repair in all aspects, with proper training
  • Cummins and Detroit experience; certifications a plus
  • Ford and Chevrolet gas and diesel experience
  • Alternative fuel experience a plus
  • Ability to read and trouble shoot wiring schematics
  • Power-trained and electrical diagnosing
  • Allison transmission experience preferred
  • Advance complex wiring diagnosing preferred
  • Document all work completed and parts used

$22.00 - $32.00
