Job description
Do you have free afternoons and want to make a positive impact? Join our team and provide a safe, enjoyable ride for local students in our YMCA bus or van!
What You'll Do:
- Safely transport middle school students from their school to the YMCA.
- Ensure a positive and secure experience for every child.
- Operate a 14-passenger bus or 10-passenger van (training provided).
- No CDL Required! We'll provide all necessary training.
Schedule:
- Part-time position requires weekday availability
- Position starts 2026-2027 School Year, Monday-Friday 2:30pm-3:30pm
- Occasional Half Days of School (Nature Hill and Silver Intermediate School) 11:30am-12:30pm
Qualifications:
- At least 18 years of age with a valid regular driver license and acceptable driving record.
- Ability to successfully pass written and behind-the-wheel evaluations for Y mini-buses and vans (to be assessed post-hire).
- Previous experience working with school-aged youth preferred.
- Willingness to attend meetings, training, and obtain additional certification as requested.
Essential Functions:
- Abide by all Y and State regulations associated with proper and safe operation of vehicles.
- Maintain vehicle and/or participant records, logs, and other documentation as assigned.
- Exemplify and uphold all policies and procedures of the YMCA.
- Ensure safety and cleanliness of all equipment and vehicles.
