Job description

Summary:

FET Variperm class leading in service and supply, specializing in sand control engineering, completion and work-over tools and cased hole fishing services. And that’s what we do: our customized sand control solutions allow us to respond quickly to the ever-changing variability of our customers’ vertical and horizontal well operations.

The Maintenance Millwright (Journeyperson) performs electrical and mechanical up-keep and repairs facilities, buildings, and manufacturing equipment. Troubleshoots, diagnoses and makes necessary repairs. Assists in setting up and maintaining an ongoing preventive maintenance program for the facility. Maintains an organized, safe and clean work area. Active participation in FET’s Health, Safety and Environment program is required. Other duties and special projects as assigned.

This position may require periodic weekend work as well as regular overtime.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Carries tools and equipment to and from storage and working areas.
  • Assist dismantling and moving machines or equipment.
  • Clean machines to prepare surfaces for repair.
  • Utilizing precision measuring tools to align gears, shafts, and bearings.
  • Fabrication & Welding: Performing layout, welding, and machining work to fabricate parts.
  • Keep detailed notes and job information in a CMMS.
  • Oil and grease various machinery to include maintaining and checking oil levels in forklifts.
  • Clean work areas, tools and equipment.
  • Repairing LP gas accessories and related PM tasks.
  • HVAC / CHILLER PM tasks.
  • Diagnostics of PLC / CNC / circuitry.
  • Required to adhere to the Company’s ISO Quality program.
  • Carry out inspections of the facilities to identify and resolve issues.
  • Check electrical and hydraulic systems of buildings to ensure functionality.
  • Actively maintain maintenance logs and report on daily activities.
  • Provide accurate paperwork and work orders.
  • Work according to company mandates for communication, meetings and projects.
  • Responsible for effective record keeping, filing and other administrative duties as required.
  • Lift and carry materials weighing up to 45lbs, and lift over 45lbs with the help of other workers, forklift, and/or overhead crane.
  • Ensuring all work areas are clean and organized.
  • May perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Skills/Knowledge

  • Capable of reading and interpreting written and verbal instructions.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Able to work independently and as a team member.
  • Must be able to work under pressure and within time constraints.
  • Basic computer skills preferred.

Education

  • Journeyperson Millwright Certification or registered apprentice preferred.

Experience

  • 5+ years of previous experience in maintaining manufacturing equipment.
  • Experience performing mechanical repairs for different varieties of machines.
  • Prior experience and/or certification with overhead cranes and rigging.
