General Description:

Under the direction of the Assembly Manager, the 2nd Shift Machine Builder/Millwright will assemble fabricated and machined components to build shot blast equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.

  1. Very strong mechanical ability to assemble fabricated and machined components.
  2. Rig and load trucks using overhead cranes independently.
  3. Ability to perform advanced small to large machinery assembly.
  4. Full understanding of blueprint readings and schematics.
  5. Experience repairing heavy industrial equipment preferred.
  6. Determine proper tools and machinery required to complete the production schedule.
  7. Complete final inspection of all parts to meet quality standards.
  8. Complete required monthly safety training.
  9. Support both internal and external customers.
  10. Provide support and backup as needed.
  11. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
  12. Ability to weld preferred, but not required.
  13. Help drive and support BCT’s Culture and Core Values.

Qualifications:

  • Verbal and Written Communication skills
  • Attention to Detail, Thoroughness, Problem Solving skills, the ability to make decisions and follow-through.
  • Requires mathematical skills that require the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, and to make metric system conversions.
  • Mechanical Knowledge.


Education/Experience:

  • Overhead crane experience required.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in manufacturing or similar setting required.
  • Experience with industrial heavy machine assembly preferred.
  • Hydraulics experience is a plus.
