Millwright Engineer information

What type of millwright makes the most money?

In the millwright profession, industrial or maintenance millwrights working in manufacturing, energy, or heavy industry tend to earn higher salaries due to the complexity of equipment and safety requirements. Specialized skills such as welding, rigging, and certifications like OSHA or NCCER can also increase earning potential. Experience and working in remote or high-demand areas further boost income levels for millwrights.

What does a millwright engineer do?

A millwright engineer installs, maintains, and repairs industrial machinery and equipment, often working in manufacturing plants, power plants, or construction sites. They use tools such as wrenches, hoists, and precision measuring devices, and may require certifications in machinery or safety standards. The role involves troubleshooting mechanical issues and ensuring equipment operates efficiently and safely.

How much do millwrights get paid in the US?

In the US, millwrights typically earn an average annual salary of around $55,000 to $75,000, depending on experience, location, and industry. Skilled millwrights with certifications and specialized tools may earn higher wages, especially in industrial or manufacturing environments with demanding schedules. Wages can also vary based on union membership and overtime opportunities.

What is the difference between Millwright Engineer vs Mechanical Technician?

AspectMillwright EngineerMechanical Technician
