Mill Helper – Millwright Apprentice Preferred | Quarry & Heavy Industrial
Location: Woodstock, ON
Pay: $28.15/hour
Job Type: Full-Time | Permanent
Shifts:
  • Afternoon: Monday–Friday, 3:30 PM–1:30 AM
  • Night: Monday–Friday, 9:45 PM–6:45 AM
  • Overtime and 10–12 hour shifts may be required.
Job Summary
We are hiring a Mill Helper for a heavy industrial quarry operation in Woodstock. This is a hands-on mechanical role working with conveyors, gearboxes, screens, crushers, and other industrial machinery.
Millwright Apprentice candidates are strongly preferred. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a mechanical background who wants to build long-term experience in quarry and industrial maintenance.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with mechanical repairs and maintenance.
  • Work with gearboxes, conveyor belts, screens, crushers, and plant machinery.
  • Use hand tools and power tools.
  • Assist with fitting and basic welding.
  • Support maintenance of skid steers, telehandlers, and other equipment.
  • Follow strict safety and PPE procedures.
Requirements
  • 3–5 years of heavy industrial, mining, quarry, or similar experience.
  • Millwright Apprentice experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and power tool experience.
  • Experience with industrial machinery and mechanical repairs.
  • Comfortable working 100% outdoors in extreme hot, cold, and dusty conditions.
  • Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Basic MIG, TIG, or Arc welding is an asset.
  • Must pass qualitative and quantitative respirator fit testing.
  • Must be clean-shaven where the respirator seal meets the face.
  • English required.
