About the Role:
Beams Custom Woodworking & Cabinetry in Morgantown, PA is looking for a talented Millwork Drafter / Engineer to join our passionate team of craftspeople and designers. If you have a sharp eye for detail and a love for turning custom woodworking concepts into precise, buildable plans, this is your opportunity to make your mark on truly one-of-a-kind projects.

Responsibilities:
  • Produce detailed millwork shop drawings, elevations, and construction documents for custom cabinetry and woodworking projects
  • Collaborate with designers, project managers, and shop fabricators to translate design intent into accurate technical drawings
  • Develop and maintain CAD/drafting files for custom millwork, built-ins, and architectural woodworking
  • Review project specifications, blueprints, and client requirements to ensure drawing accuracy
  • Perform material takeoffs and assist with estimating lumber, hardware, and component quantities
  • Identify and resolve design conflicts or constructability issues prior to fabrication
  • Update and revise drawings based on field conditions, client feedback, or engineering changes
Requirements:
  • Experience in millwork drafting, architectural woodworking, or custom cabinetry design
  • Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Cabinet Vision, Microvellum, or similar)
  • Strong understanding of wood joinery, cabinet construction methods, and millwork standards
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural plans, blueprints, and specifications
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Effective communicator who can work cross-functionally with shop and design teams
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or related field preferred
