Position Overview

The Custom Cabinet Builder is responsible for fabricating, assembling, and preparing custom cabinetry and architectural millwork according to detailed shop drawings and specifications. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and experienced working with premium materials and woodworking equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Build and assemble high-end custom kitchen, bathroom, closet, office, and commercial cabinetry.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and production specifications.
  • Operate woodworking machinery including table saws, edge banders, routers, sanders, drills, and other shop equipment.
  • Measure, cut, assemble, and install cabinet components with precision.
  • Install drawer slides, hinges, doors, shelving, moldings, and hardware.
  • Inspect finished products to ensure superior quality and accuracy.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Work closely with shop supervisors, project managers, and installation teams to meet production deadlines.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years of experience building custom cabinets or architectural millwork.
  • Ability to read shop drawings and production plans.
  • Experience using woodworking tools and cabinet shop machinery.
  • Knowledge of laminates, hardwoods, plywood, veneers, hardware, and finishing materials.
  • Excellent measuring and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a professional team.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with CNC cabinet production equipment.
