Job description

PARR is the total source for homebuilding supplies, solutions, and services. We focus on supplying building materials and solutions to professional home builders of all sizes including custom builders, large production builders, and multifamily builders. Our customers and community members know that they can rely on us for Legendary Service and quality products.
Pay: $19.44-$21.53 hourly
A Delivery Assistant is responsible for assisting the Delivery Driver in the movement of product from the main warehouse to the delivery site while acting in a safe and professional manner. The ideal Delivery Assistant is driven to maintain safety regulations and above and beyond customer service.
Depending on the location, the Delivery Assistant reports directly to the General Manager, Production Manager, or Shop Foreman and interacts daily with customers, drivers, dispatchers, receivers, and load-builders.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Safely and efficiently load and unload building materials from commercial motor vehicle
  • Legally, safely, and efficiently travel to destinations through public and private roads
  • Complete mileage and fuel usage reports
  • Demonstrates commitment to on time and in full deliveries
  • Follow delivery procedures by taking photos of delivered shipment after completing each delivery
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with customers, contractors, and vendors
  • Maintain yard, warehouse, and vehicle cleanliness during course of work
  • Finds productive work to do in down time
  • Keeps truck supplied, organized, and clean
  • Comes to work professionally attired
  • Checks load for accuracy
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent

  • Shoes that are puncture resistant, slip resistant, made of leather or composite material, and have ankle support required

Working Conditions
This position will be working at a millworks facility and make deliveries at jobsites in all weather conditions.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to lift up to 90 lbs.
  • Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
