Job description

The Role

Milliman Mortgage Solutions is a leading mortgage risk modeling platform that helps clients evaluate opportunities, monitor market trends, and manage portfolio risk. Milliman solutions allow financial institutions to forecast, assess, and manage risk in the mortgage market via flexible, efficient platforms and models.  Our team is seeking a Software Developer to join our Milwaukee-area team and help build secure, scalable cloud applications that bring predictive models and analytics into production.
This role is ideal for an engineer with experience in full-stack development and strong experience in APIs, backend systems, and data-driven applications. You will work closely with developers, data scientists, product owners, and client stakeholders to deliver high-quality features that solve real business problems in a collaborative, fast-moving environment. The team meets weekly in person at our office in Brookfield, WI to stay connected and on track to meet development goals.
This is a prime opportunity for someone with 2+ years of proven development experience to contribute to establishing, implementing, and maintaining coding and architectural standards in collaboration with a broader team.
What You Will Do

  • Design and maintain scalable cloud-based web applications using C#, .NET Core, SQL and Azure among other technologies.
  • Develop and consume RESTful APIs to enable secure communication between systems and services.
  • Ensure software quality through unit testing, clean and maintainable code, and participation in code reviews.
  • Monitor application performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement optimizations as necessary.
  • Collaborate with product, data, and cross-functional teams to gather requirements for software solutions.
  • Write technical specifications based on conceptual design and stated business requirements.
  • Take ownership of assigned modules or projects with minimal supervision.
  • Follow Milliman’s established company standards and software development best practices. Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following industry best practices and coding standards.
  • Adhere to all Milliman risk management requirements and protocols.

What We Are Looking For

Professional Qualifications

  • 2+ years of professional experience in full-stack software development
  • Experience building software that incorporates data, statistical, and/or machine learning models
  • Strong experience with C#, .NET Core, and SQL
  • Proficient in building and integrating RESTful API’s
  • Solid understanding of database design and data-driven applications

Location

Candidates hired into this role will be required to work in-person in the Milliman office in Brookfield, WI on a weekly basis, and flexible work arrangements will be considered. Relocation assistance is not available. The expected application deadline for this job is July 31, 2026.

A combination of factors will be considered to determine the compensation for this role, including, but not limited to, education, relevant work experience, qualifications, skills, certifications, etc.
