Position Overview

The Millennial Counseling Centre is seeking a passionate and dedicated Licensed Mental Health Therapist to provide vital support to individuals recovering from trauma. This full-time position offers the flexibility of remote work while operating within our outpatient office framework, located in Gresham, Oregon. With a competitive salary range of USD 90,000 to 100,000 per year, this opportunity enables you to make meaningful changes in the lives of trauma survivors.

Our clinical team specializes in evidence-based treatment modalities, focusing on post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Our collaborative approach allows us to offer high-quality mental health care while paying careful attention to the unique needs of each patient.

Work Environment

This position primarily supports a remote work setting, empowering you to engage with patients in a comfortable environment. Our office, while offering outpatient services, stresses the significance of convenient and flexible care options tailored to fit the schedules of both therapists and clients. The standard work hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some scheduling flexibility accommodating patient needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments, gathering detailed histories to assess trauma exposure and potential impacts.
  • Develop and customize individualized treatment plans that focus on promoting recovery and enhancing resilience.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing.
  • Lead both individual and group therapy sessions, skillfully guiding patients as they navigate the complexities of their trauma experiences and develop effective coping strategies.
  • Collaborate with psychologists, psychiatrists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver integrated care and support for patients.
  • Respond to crisis situations, providing immediate intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies.
  • Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, coping techniques, and available community resources.
  • Maintain meticulous, accurate documentation in compliance with all legal and ethical standards.
  • Participate actively in team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development to enhance trauma-informed practices.
  • Stay informed on the latest research and advancements in trauma therapy to continuously improve therapeutic effectiveness.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patients primarily consist of individuals affected by various forms of trauma, including domestic violence survivors, veterans, and individuals with histories of childhood abuse or neglect. We cater to clients experiencing PTSD, complex trauma, and related psychological challenges. As a therapist at Millennial Counseling Centre, you will have the opportunity to empower patients along their healing journeys by providing compassionate, client-centered care.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited school.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Oregon.
  • Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment methodologies.
  • Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills, characterized by a non-judgmental and empathetic approach.
Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting, specializing in trauma-related care.
  • Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems for patient documentation and management.
  • Experience with various evidence-based trauma therapies and crisis intervention strategies.
