Pay Range: $29.10 to $36.40 per hour.
(Additional $1.00 per hour for hours worked between 7:00pm and 11:59pm. Additional $2.00 per hour for hours worked between 12:00am-4:59am)
  • Using the automated system to lead feed into trucks and assign delivery vehicles and work assignments to drivers.
  • Communicate with other feed mill departments to determine bin inventories, feed delivery schedules and daily field status.
  • Ensure that all company policies and procedures such as bio-security, safety, etc. are adhered to. This includes taking disciplinary action if needed. Verify that all paperwork that is required is completed accurately.
  • Coordinate repairs and schedules preventative maintenance of feed mill equipment with the truck shop. work closely with supervisor regarding our rolling stock maintenance.
  • Oversee mill activities in the absence of management personnel. This includes making decision about what feed type to run based on the needs of the ranches.

Qualifications
  • Demonstrate ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing and must have strong interpersonal skills.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish helpful
  • Must be able to work well under deadlines and in a changing workload invironment.
  • Must have a working knowledge and understanding of the California Vehicle Code as it pertains to professional Drivers. This is important in performing driver evaluations and vehicle safety inspections.
  • Class A Driver's License preferred.
  • Ability to accept direction and handle responsibility.
  • Must be a self starter and able to work with little to no supervision.
  • Must possess basic computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word Programs.
  • Must be detailed oriented. Have strong mathematical and analytical aptitude.
  • AA or higher college degree or equivalent supervisor experience preferred.
  • Ability to work a swing/night shift consisting of 12 hours on a regular basis including weekends and holidays.
  • Must be able to understand, follow and enforce all company and department policies and procedures.
