Description
**While your department is a priority, all managers are responsible for daily till management, safe counting, support opening/closing each area (front of store, produce, etc.), and communicating promotions/sales/information with all retail staff and each other** Food & Beverage Shift Lead is responsible for all procedure/food safety training within retail food establishments. They advise primary scheduler of specific hiring/scheduling needs. They are responsible for enforcing all SOPs including opening/closing procedures, food safety procedures, and dish preparation procedures. They also regulate and initiate equipment cleaning schedule. They are the center of knowledge on equipment operating and cleaning, the ordering advisor, and often assist in menu development and product innovation.
Requirements
• Track inventory of food supplies and products
• Submit all products needed for food establishments to Cider Mill Manager for ordering
• Assist in developing menus for various seasons, establishments, and events/festivals
• Create and ensure execution of necessary SOPs and cleaning logs
• Advise primary scheduler with hiring/scheduling for all food establishments
• Train and supervise employees for food areas
• Address and inform of employee issues and concerns
• Ensure a positive and welcoming atmosphere to customers and resolve customer complaints
• Monitor general cleanliness off all food establishments
• Head up product rotation/inventory
• Ensure adherence to all food safety and quality standards
• Develop ordering projections as relevant
• Lead prep of food establishments prior to business (for beginning of season/for weekends especially)
• Open registers and provide daily change/refund/general aid to staff in your area
• Creator of daily break schedule and ensure employees follow break requirements
