We’re looking for a dependable, hands-on Mill Operator / Assistant Operator to help keep production moving safely, efficiently, and with top-quality results.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
  • Operate and monitor tube mill equipment and production machinery
  • Assist with mill setup, changeovers, tooling, and adjustments
  • Monitor production processes and make adjustments to maintain quality
  • Inspect finished product for proper dimensions and quality
  • Perform measurements using precision measuring tools
  • Load, unload, and stage materials as needed
  • Troubleshoot equipment and report mechanical or production issues
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Follow production specifications, safety procedures, and quality standards
WE’RE LOOKING FOR
✅ Tube Mill Operator experience strongly preferred
✅ Previous experience operating industrial/manufacturing equipment
✅ Experience with tube mills, roll forming, or steel processing is a plus
✅ Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
✅ Ability to read work instructions, blueprints, or production specifications
✅ Comfortable using measuring tools
✅ Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
✅ Reliable team player with a strong work ethic
✅ Manufacturing or metalworking experience preferred

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Wear all proper protective equipment as required in work and in accordance with Safety Policy and OSHA standards.
  • Maintain a safe and healthful work environment by practicing safe work habits, good housekeeping procedures and adhering to safety guidelines.
  • Verification and recording of product identification
  • Reconcile coil identity for production and load coil
  • Ensuring material is loaded onto lines and fed into production equipment in accordance with all safety policies and quality procedures.
  • Responsible for making necessary adjustments to ensure material tracking/stacking.
  • Performing in process visual inspection
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Ability to use computers, read tape measures, micrometers and calipers
  • Dependability in attendance, work completion, and flexibility to meet business needs
  • Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
  • Ability to work outside normal business hours/days as needed
  • Able to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the company
  • Able to read and comprehend simple work instructions, work orders, short correspondence and memos written in English
  • Able to write simple correspondence in English
Education Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent, required
  • Industry knowledge and experience, a plus
