Job description

ASRC Federal Mission Solutions is a premier provider of systems engineering, software engineering, system integration and project management services for real-time, mission-critical defense systems. We are seeking highly motivated Modeling & Simulation Systems Engineers to support the Specialized Warfighter Development Contract’s (SWDC) Threat Products Services (TPS) / Threat Modeling Center (TMC) at Schriever Space Force Base, in Colorado Springs, CO.

This exciting career opportunity at the TMC is responsible for the development and delivery of high-fidelity threat modeling products in support of the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) and MDA’s Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS). The TMC Kinematic Systems Engineer is responsible for working with a group of engineers that generates the kinematic output data of simulated missile trajectories for the TMC.

This role requires employees to be onsite daily with no option for remote/hybrid work.

 

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) discipline preferred with 2 years of relevant experience, or 0-2 years’ experience with a Masters’ Degree
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% of the time to support business needs
  • Applicants must have a current active in-scope U.S. Government DoD issued Secret security clearance at the time of application which is required to start
  • Experience in modeling and simulation
  • Knowledge of missiles and six degrees of freedom (6 DoF) trajectory representation
  • Familiarity with missile defense system components and their interoperability
  • Understanding of Linux and Windows based platforms with their associated software
  • Ability to work independently and in groups and must be a self-starter
  • Excellent time management, schedule estimation
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Preferred Requirements:

  • Knowledge of missile targeting and allocation and “Red Force” laydowns
  • Experience with infrared and radar cross section (RCS) signatures
  • Experience in systems engineering and/or software development and testing, especially with Agile methodology
  • Experience working within the Missile Defense Agency, especially related to Ground Test exercises/events
  • A current DoD Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility
