The Strategic Division (SD) supports high-reliability organizations including Navy Strategic Systems Programs (SSP), Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center, and the Department of Energy (DOE), among others. Our support across our client base is expanding rapidly and encompasses important services, such as data analytics and visualization, threat analysis, risk management, modeling and simulation, cost estimating, earned value management, program management, system engineering, independent evaluation, and High Consequence Event prevention.
SPA's Strategic Division's Strategic Development Group (SDG) supports critical U.S. government programs providing Systems Engineering support, Systems Safety support and Financial Analysis support. SDG is hiring now for a Systems Engineer at the Washington Navy Yard.

Responsibilities
The Systems Engineer will provide technical and programmatic systems engineering support to the TRIDENT II missile program. They will support headquarters level planning, development, and execution for a variety of activities, including systems integration, system accuracy, system reliability, support equipment design, and systems safety. Potential travel 6-8 times per year.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
  • Must be able to work at Washington Navy Yard, full-time, five days per week.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • Active TOP SECRET clearance.
  • US Navy Submarine Officer experience or other U.S. military Engineering Officer experience.
  • 5+ years professional experience with defense programs or equivalent.
  • Exceptional writing and presentation abilities with strong work ethic, time management, and interpersonal skills.

Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience working with Strategic Systems Programs.
  • Experience working with DoD engineering and acquisition processes.
  • Experience with US Government acquisition, US government budgeting and project planning.
