Job description

Role: HSM Migration Engineer
Location: Phoenix, AZ--Need local candidate only
Type :- Contract
This role will be responsible for ensuring a seamless and secure transition of critical cryptographic services while minimizing operational risk and downtime.
We are seeking an experienced Hardware Security Module (HSM) Migration Engineer Contractor to support the migration of enterprise cryptographic infrastructure. The contractor will contribute to planning, coordinating, and executing the migration of HSM environments while ensuring the security, integrity, and availability of cryptographic keys and payment-processing services.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience administering and migrating HSM platforms within highly regulated environments such as financial services, payment processing, or enterprise security operations.
Required Qualifications
• 3/6+ years of experience supporting enterprise HSM environments.
• Experience performing HSM-to-HSM migrations.
• Experience supporting payment systems, financial services, or other highly regulated environments.
• Strong Linux and Windows administration skills.
• Excellent troubleshooting and documentation.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with payment processing environments and card security programs.
• Some knowledge of EMV, PIN encryption, tokenization, and transaction security.
• Experience with cloud-integrated HSM solutions and hybrid environments.
• PCI-DSS and NIST knowledge is a plus.
