Job description

Role- Data Center Migration - Project Manager
Location- Raleigh, NC (Onsite)
Full Time Employment
The Project Manager - Data Center Migration is responsible for planning and executing assigned workstreams or migration waves within a larger DC migration program.
The role focuses on day-to-day delivery, coordination, and execution of infrastructure and application migration activities.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage assigned DC migration projects or workstreams from initiation to closure.
  • Develop and maintain project plans in MS project, schedules, RAID logs, and status reports.
  • Proven hands-on experience in using Microsoft Excel to compare datasets, perform data analysis, and generate accurate insights and reports.
  • Coordinate with application, infrastructure, network, and security teams to execute migration activities.
  • Track dependencies and ensure readiness for migration waves and cutovers.
  • Support application migration activities including discovery, planning, testing, and cutover.
  • Manage data center decommissioning tasks for assigned scopes.
  • Identify risks and issues, propose mitigation plans, and escalate when required.
  • Ensure adherence to change management and operational readiness processes.
  • Provide regular status updates to Program Manager and stakeholders.
  • Support governance forums, reviews, and migration readiness checkpoints.
Required Skills & Experience
  • 8-12 years of IT experience with 5+ years in Project Management.
  • Hands on experience in Data Center Migration or Infrastructure Projects.
Good understanding of:
  • Server, storage, network, and virtualization technologies
  • Application migration lifecycle
  • IT service management processes
  • Strong planning, coordination, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and vendors.
  • Experience working in global delivery models.
  • PMP / Prince2 / ITIL certification preferred.
