Midwest Transit Equipment, Inc.ย seeksย a Full-Time PDI Service Technicianย for our Marshall, Michigan location.ย

For over 50 years, Midwest Transit Equipment has been known for our honesty and integrity in our dealings with both our manufacturers and customers. We take pride in our reputation for offering quality vehicles, exceptional service & parts, and affordable prices. We strive to emphasize excellence through our attention to detail and our quality service. We are the largest dealer of new school buses in the country. We maintain thousands of vehicles at eight locations in five states and over 300 employees committed to providing safe, comfortable and reliable transportation for our customers around the world.

Who we are looking for:

We are looking for a PDI Service Tech to assist with Installation of after market components, PDI new buses, and entry level service tech tasks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Bus Detail
  • Lot Work
  • Bus Inspections
  • Install components on buses and perform general maintenance on vehicles
  • Oil changes
  • Off Lease Sales Repairs
  • Lower Level Technician work โ€“ Part replacement, stop arms, brakes, shocks
  • Required to frequently lift/carry 50lbs
  • Must be able work efficiently and neatly
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
  • Assist in daily responsibilities of the department
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Must have own hand tools and toolbox (wrenches, pliers, screwdrivers, wire cutter, etc.)

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • CDL with air brake endorsement preferred
  • Work with minimal supervision
