Armed Security Officer

Midwest Security Forces is seeking highly experienced applicants to fill immediate Armed Security Officer position in Northwest Indiana. The ideal candidate will have strong observational skills, excellent operational judgment, and the ability to respond swiftly and appropriately to security threats. We have full-time and part-time positions available. General Armed Security responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide excellent customer service to our client's staff, residents, and visitors
  • Secure the premises and establish a friendly on-site presence
  • Observe, survey, and report activities at the assigned site
  • Remain vigilant and proactively identify security concerns
  • Respond quickly and appropriately to critical situations
  • Enforce client procedures, regulations, and standards
  • Must have strong decision making and problem-solving skills
  • Must be customer service oriented
  • Must have the ability to pay close attention to detail
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time
  • Must have strong communication skills
  • Ability to read and write detailed reports
  • Ability to work within a structured team environment
  • Must consistently maintain personal hygiene and a well-groomed appearance

Qualifications:

  • Possess at least a high school education or equivalent (GED)
  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • Must be at least 21 years of age or older as required by applicable law
  • Effective written and verbal communication
  • Armed Security Officer experience required. Police experience preferred
  • Must have a valid driver's license with clean driving history
  • Must have reliable means of transportation to and from work
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment background check
  • Must possess valid IN firearms permit
  • Must have your own approved firearm and appropriate holster

This growth is largely due to our dedicated team and our layered management structure. Midwest Security has an executive management staff with over 70 years combined experience in local law enforcement, military, and private industry.

Midwest Security clients include retail shopping centers, professional office parks, high-rise buildings, highway travel centers, industrial facilities, banks, gated residential communities, health care facilities, and more. We are proud of our long-standing relationships with our clients; many of our clients have been with us since we began.
