Responsibilities:
  • The Technical Project Manager works directly with representatives of all organizational areas leading project teams by assigning work to project members, advising project team and project sponsors of any status or implementation issues and recommends solutions as necessary. Work is varied and requires broad technical and business context.ย 
  • Oversees or participates in project related communications to various levels of stakeholders (from technical SMEs to executive teams)ย 
  • Manages the entire project life cycle of detailed project plans and develops and delegates project tasksย 
  • Tracks key project milestones and adjusts project plans and/or resources as appropriateย 
  • Ensures cross-project dependencies are identified to establish priorities in project completion.ย 
  • Ensures early detection of risks and appropriate risk response strategy.ย 
  • Guides issues to closure and escalates obstacles as needed.ย 
  • May oversee development of business requirements, which align with the overall objectives and manage scope to plan.ย 
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or similar trainingย 
  • 5+years of project management experience managing medium to complex projectsย 
  • Ability to coordinate and work with diverse groups of subject matter expertsย 
  • Must possess strong technological aptitude along with strong system and process analysis skillsย 
  • Experience with IIB MQ, Axway Secure Transfer, Connect Direct. IBM Sterling File Gateway, IBM Control Center (formerly Sterling Control Center), IBM Sterling Secure Proxyย 
  • Must possess solid business acumen, and have the ability to communicate effectively, conduct meetings and deliver formal presentationsย 
  • Ability to work effectively independently or in a team environmentย 
  • Strong analytical, collaboration, leadership, critical thinking, multitasking, and time management skillsย 
  • Ability to influence successfully in a highly matrix or virtual organizationย 
  • Some travel may be requiredย 
Managers Note: Working knowledge of application integration services like: Enterprise Service bus, Messaging broker, file transfer, PaaS.ย 
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field or equivalent work experience
