Location : Washington, DC or Harrisburg, PA.
Duration : 12+ months

Candidates can also be considered for REMOTE work if they are within driving distance to either location. ย They would have to travel in periodically and those expenses would be covered by Unisys. ย Confirm location at the top of the resume.

Scope/Background:
Unisys is taking on middleware application and database support for the Red Cross client. The SA1 Middleware Techย  must step in and grasp the complex environment, understand the business and IT strategy, and be able to fully support the middleware componentry.ย  There is a 60-90 day knowledge transfer period whereby we'll be shadowing Red Cross for training.ย  ย ย 
Job Description:
  • possess a strong working knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture and infrastructure support of Service Oriented Middleware deployments
  • Provide hands-on design, build, deployment, and support for Middleware including the WebLogic application server and Biztalk environment.
  • Solves problems related to installation, implementation, maintenance, and operations of middleware and related infrastructure components.
  • Ensures that infrastructure systems are designed, implemented, and supported to meet customer's internal and external standards and service level requirements.
  • Perform testing, tuning, and configuration of Middleware products including WebLogic and Biztalk.
  • Apply experience with monitoring tools and techniques for Middleware components.
  • Support, troubleshoot, and resolve Middleware and related infrastructure issues.
  • Perform installation of new Middleware software releases, system upgrades, and patches.
  • Provide 24/7 support via cell phone for severity 1 incidentsย 

Qualifications:
  • U.S. Citizenship and ability to pass a criminal background check
  • B.S. in Computer Science or 7+ years of directly related IT experience in lieu of degree
  • 5 years of focused Middleware design, support and maintenance
  • Oracle WebLogic Server
  • Microsoft Biztalk expertise
  • Proficiency with Unix/Linux/Windows operating systems
  • scripting experience
  • Ability to work in a team environment with multiple, competing high-priority projects with varying deadlines
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
