A Day in the Life:
Hertz is redefining mobility through digital transformation and AI-driven innovation. Our Fleet Product Team builds intelligent solutions that improve fleet availability, reduce costs, and optimize operations at scale.
The starting salary for this role is $150,000, commensurate with experience.
Key focus areas include:
  • Fleet Automation - Using AI and automation to streamline fleet operations and decision-making
  • Service Optimization - Improving maintenance routing and vehicle health management
  • Shop Efficiency - Enhancing technician productivity, repair quality, and cost efficiency
  • Partner Performance - Applying AI, computer vision, and analytics to improve vendor accountability and service quality

What You'll Do:
  • Product Strategy and Vision: Define and communicate the product vision and strategy, aligning with company goals and market needs
  • Market Research: Conduct market research to understand customer needs, competitive landscape, and emerging trends in AI/ML, telematics, and vehicle diagnostics
  • Roadmap Planning: Develop and maintain a product roadmap, prioritizing features and improvements based on customer feedback and business objectives
  • Feature Development: Oversee the ideation, definition, development, testing, launch, and monitoring of features end-to-end
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, data science, and other teams to ensure seamless integration of cutting-edge technologies
  • Stakeholder Communication: Regularly update stakeholders on product progress, challenges, and successes, fostering transparency and trust
  • Training and Support: Provide training and support to service partners and customers, ensuring they can effectively use the product

What We're Looking For:
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred
  • 5+ years of end-to-end product management experience, including product vision, strategy, roadmap development, prioritization, testing, release management, performance measurement, and continuous enhancement
  • Proven ability to collaborate, influence, and build partnerships with internal and external stakeholders across multiple functions and locations
  • Strong leadership, communication, critical-thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to drive results, lead process and organizational change, and navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly organized, adaptable, and goal-oriented, with excellent time management and prioritization skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work independently while maintaining focus on strategic business objectives
