About the Role:

The Rink Manager and Zamboni Operator is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and maintenance of an ice skating rink to ensure a safe, enjoyable, and well-maintained environment for all patrons. This role involves managing the ice surface quality through expert operation of the Zamboni machine, scheduling and coordinating rink activities, and supervising staff to maintain high standards of customer service and safety. The manager will also handle administrative duties such as budgeting, inventory management, and liaising with vendors and community organizations to promote rink programs and events. A key outcome of this position is to maximize rink usage and customer satisfaction while maintaining operational efficiency and compliance with safety regulations. Ultimately, the Rink Manager and Zamboni Operator plays a vital role in fostering a welcoming community space that supports recreational skating, hockey, and other ice-related activities.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to operate a Zamboni or similar ice resurfacing equipment.
  • Previous experience in rink operations, facility management, or a related field with demonstrated knowledge of ice maintenance.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills with the ability to manage staff and coordinate multiple activities simultaneously.
