Job description

The Greenridge Group is a prime contractor and consulting firm specializing in Project and Construction Management for major public-sector agencies.
We are seeking a Structural Engineer Associate to support LAUSD's Facilities Services Division, Maintenance & Operations (M&O) - A&E Services team. This is a great opportunity for a structural engineering professional who is interested in working on meaningful public-sector facilities projects and contributing to the design, construction, maintenance, and improvement of school facilities throughout Los Angeles.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare, analyze, and review structural design plans, specifications, estimates, and technical reports.
  • Review structural plans, specifications, design calculations, and construction documents.
  • Assist with structural design for foundations, floors, walls, roofs, and other major building components.
  • Prepare conceptual and detailed cost estimates and other reports supporting construction and maintenance projects.
  • Review structural work for compliance with applicable standards, constructability, completeness, and accuracy.
  • Conduct site investigations and prepare scoping reports and recommendations.
  • Provide structural recommendations to contractors, architects, engineers, inspectors, and other project stakeholders.
  • Review soils data and other project information and provide recommendations related to foundation design.
  • Support structural engineering consultants and design teams throughout project development and construction.

Requirements
Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with a specialization/coursework in Structural Engineering.
  • At least 3 years of full-time, paid professional structural engineering experience.
  • Experience with BlueBeam, AutoCAD, and Revit.
  • Knowledge of DSA and California school building construction code.

Preferred:
  • Experience with school building construction or educational facilities.
  • California Professional Engineer (PE) certification.
