UNCOMN is seeking a Software Tester 2-3 (Associate/Mid-Level) to:
  • Be at the forefront of high-level automation, applying top-tier quality engineering principles to ensure our products not only meet but exceed specifications.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers and the development team, leveraging automated testing tools to craft streamlined test processes.
  • Support the entire spectrum of product and system testing, covering everything from function and component evaluation to system, performance, regression, and service testing.
  • Actively participate in software team meetings, design reviews, peer reviews, and other relevant gatherings where your insights will shape the direction of our projects.
  • Set up test environments, design effective test plans, and create test cases, scenarios, and usage cases.
  • Provide technical and administrative direction, ensuring software development tasks align with our goals.
  • Make a lasting impact and be a part of transformative projects, while simultaneously epitomizing UNCOMN's values and being a driving force behind software excellence.
  • This is a primarily remote position with a current requirement to work onsite every Wednesday. Additional onsite days may be required periodically based on business needs.

Requirements
  • 2+ years of related professional experience.
  • Deep understanding of software development fundamentals, requirements, and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Ability to perform complex tasks with minimal supervision and guidance.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective time management, scheduling, and organizational skills.
  • Must be willing to obtain relevant certifications as required by future client or contract needs.
  • Must be eligible to obtain a Secret clearance, granted by the US Government, which requires US citizenship. The government also uses 13 adjudicative guidelines to determine an individual's eligibility.
Preferred
  • Prior experience with SoapUI and Jira.
  • Experience with the automated testing tool, TestComplete.
  • Active CompTIA Security+ and/or Bachelor's Degree in a STEM-related course of study from an accredited college or university.
  • Prior experience working in an Agile development environment.
