About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Talent Technology) in Technology as part of Enterprise Functions Technology Group. The Enterprise Functions Technology (EFT) group provides technology solutions and support for Risk, Audit, Finance, Marketing, Human Resources, Corporate Properties, and Stakeholder Relations business lines. In addition, EFT provides unique technology solutions and innovation for Wells Fargo Technology, Enterprise Shared Services, and Enterprise Data Management. This combined portfolio of applications and tools are continually engineered to meet the challenges of stability, security, scalability, and speed. Within EFT, the Human Resources Information Technology (HRIT) team provides technology support for team member focused applications and processes, including payroll, benefits, learning and recruiting.

This role will help shape the future of Wells Fargo's Talent Acquisition technology platform and will be responsible for designing, building, integrating, and supporting solutions across Workday Recruiting, Candidate Engagement, recruiting CRM capabilities, along with career site experiences. The engineer will play a key role in large-scale recruiting transformation initiatives, delivering modern, scalable, and secure solutions that create exceptional experiences for candidates, recruiters, and hiring managers while advancing the organization's digital hiring strategy.


In this role, you will:

  • Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
  • Contribute to large scale planning of strategies
  • Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
  • Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
  • Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
  • Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle from solution design through production implementation and support
  • Develop solutions in accordance with Wells Fargo technology, security, risk, and engineering standards
  • Maintain a strong focus on engineering quality, security, scalability, resiliency, and maintainability
  • Use approved development tools and AI-assisted engineering capabilities responsibly and in accordance with Wells Fargo policies and standards


Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

  • Strong application engineering experience designing and building enterprise applications
  • Full-stack development experience using modern front-end and back-end technologies
  • Hands-on experience using GitHub Copilot or comparable AI-assisted software development tools as part of the engineering lifecycle
  • Workday experience, including familiarity with Workday APIs, integrations, data models, or Workday Extend
  • Experience with modern programming languages and frameworks such as .NET, Python, React, or comparable technologies
  • Experience with cloud-native application development and modern application architecture
  • Experience leveraging AI-assisted development for code generation, refactoring, unit testing, documentation, and troubleshooting
  • Understanding of secure coding practices, application security, authentication and authorization, observability, and production resiliency
  • Experience integrating custom applications with enterprise SaaS platforms
  • Experience developing technology solutions supporting Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Learning, or related domains
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work through complex technical challenges and make sound engineering decisions
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, product, architecture, and business teams

Pay Range

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.
