Primary Responsibilities

  • Act as a contributing member in an assigned area within software engineering.

  • Maintain accountability for service quality in the assigned area and for successful on-time, on-budget, and on-scope delivery of assigned projects.

  • Demonstrate competence in general software engineering and at least one sub-discipline, such as databases, middleware, or UI development.

  • Contribute formally and informally to the effectiveness of the team.

  • Participate in knowledge-transfer activities to increase expertise and contribution.

  • Speak authoritatively and accurately about questions related to the assigned area of ownership.

  • Contribute directly to rapid identification of system problems, minimizing time to restoration of services.

Education

Experience

  • 3 years of experience and a proven track record developing web-based applications and web services using Java, REST, and other web technologies.

  • 2 years of experience with software development using:

  • Java, including Spring or Apex

  • Python, including Flask

  • JavaScript, including Node.js, React, or Angular.

  • Experience interfacing with databases and integrating third-party products with existing infrastructure.

Experience in Lieu of Education

Equivalent relevant experience performing the essential functions of this job may substitute for education degree requirements. Generally, equivalent relevant experience is defined as one year of experience for one year of education, subject to the discretion of the hiring manager.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with IntelliJ, VS Code, Jira, and Git.

Travel Requirements

This position requires occasional travel of up to 20%, including required attendance at designated company summits, typically one to two per year. Additional travel may include conferences, visits to company locations, and other business-related events as needed. Additional travel may be assigned as needed to support business requirements.
