JOB DESCRIPTION:
POSITION PURPOSE
Join us as an IT Manager II for our Infor ERP Platform and Software Engineering teams. In this role, you'll lead high-performing teams, shape the future of our ERP and application landscape, and drive technology initiatives that enable business success. You'll develop talent, define technology roadmaps, oversee vendor partnerships, and collaborate with architects and business leaders to deliver scalable, reliable, and innovative solutions. This role offers the opportunity to influence enterprise-wide technology decisions while ensuring operational excellence and long-term platform sustainability. This is a hybrid role based out of our Oak Park Heights, MN office location.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage ERP Application Portfolio and Technology Health by maintaining visibility of application inventory, ownership, lifecycle, and business value. Ensuring application portfolio information remains accurate and current. Develop plans for end-of-life technologies and modernization opportunities. Monitor maintenance agreements and application-related budgets. Partner with architecture, security, and operational teams to ensure application health and compliance.
  • Support team velocity and growth by identifying the correct allocations of staff to enable teams, redeploying individuals to teams based on medium and long-term technology needs, and effectively augmenting teams with external staff when necessary. Maintaining composition of Agile Teams, intelligently augmenting/reallocating only when necessary. Understanding when additional teams/staff are required and when teams/staff can be repurposed.
  • Participate in the recruitment of necessary skills to support cross-functional self-organizing teams, both inside and outside Andersen. Work closely with Product Owners and Account Managers to anticipate impacts of organizational strategic announcements, company/product visions, and release/product roadmaps on staffing needs. Provide onboarding and mentoring for new team members.
  • Help with removing organizational barriers to team success. Serve as Point of Escalation for Scrum/Agile Product Teams. Propagate Agile Mindsets & Concepts across Business Partners & Leadership, in order to create further advocates for Transformation. Advocate for Agile transformation and continuous improvement via tools/capabilities, such as continuous integration, automated testing & deployment, Agile Planning Management tools, making the case to leadership around procuring funding.
  • Understand and provide oversight and guidance as it relates to technical currency, vendor support changes/sunsets, Portfolio Scoring. Own working with Product Owner(s) to prioritize this work in Backlogs and upcoming Sprints.
  • Manage Relationships with both Staffing and System Vendors: Service Level Agreements, Contract Negotiation etc.
  • Actively engage in Communities of Practice forums and communication (via multiple channels) to foster organizational maturity and better Agile understanding, best practices amongst fellow People Managers, IT Leadership, as well as larger Agile community.
  • Oversee a team of 15 - 20 direct and indirect reports.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION, SKILL AND/OR COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree (in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Management Information Systems, Business Administration preferred) or equivalent years of experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with Information Technology/Software Development/Operations/Infrastructure efforts with progressive responsibility, preferably prior hands-on development experience in a variety of languages/platforms.
  • Excellent leadership skills with ability to inspire and motivate.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous and changing environment.
  • Ability to facilitate communication between business and technical teams.
  • Experience managing diverse technical staff in a mix of onshore and offshore settings.
