This opportunity resides with Warfare Systems (WS), a business group within HII’s Mission Technologies division. Warfare Systems comprises cyber and mission IT; electronic warfare; and C5ISR systems.

HII works within our nation’s intelligence and cyber operations communities to defend our interests in cyberspace and anticipate emerging threats. Our capabilities in cybersecurity, network architecture, reverse engineering, software and hardware development uniquely enable us to support sensitive missions for the U.S. military and federal agency partners.

HII is seeking a Business Operations Support Staff (Project Management Analyst) to support the Autonomy and Navigation Technology (ANT) Center located at the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT) campus at Wright-Patterson

Air Force Base (WPAFB) in Dayton, Ohio.

The ANT Center’s mission is to:

1) Advance Autonomy and Navigation technologies

2) Empower the next generation of defense capabilities

3) Cultivate the scientists and engineers who will lead the future.

ANT conducts cutting-edge research while having a great time and working hard. They value grit, curiosity, and excitement to learn new things.

As the Business Operations Support Staff, you will directly support the ANT Center Director and HII program manager (PM) in an array of tasks dealing with the planning, execution, tracking, and overall management of special projects. Candidate selection will balance education, skills, and highly specialized knowledge or unique experiences. This is a very autonomous role with room to grow and learn.

Full Time On-site requirement at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Dayton, Ohio.

  • Independently carry out special project requirements to meet constantly changing and increasing demands generated by internal POCs and external sponsors.
  • Assist PM with project coordination of tasks including budget, expense tracking, and overall project execution.
  • Support Director and PI’s with administrative tasks such as GPCs, DTS, FARs, etc.,
  • Develop and maintain relationships with AFIT POCs and sponsor organizations to meet project deadlines
  • Champion marketing and communications efforts to increase awareness of special projects, success stories, significant milestones, etc.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or related field
  • Excellent organization, communication, and analytical skills
  • Highly capable with Excel
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
  • United States citizenship required and can't sponsor work visa due to federal requirements of contract.

Project Management Analyst I 0 years experience with Bachelors in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 4 years relevant experience.

Project Management Analyst II 3 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 1 year relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 7 years relevant experience.

  • 5 years relevant work experience
  • Preferred active Secret clearance at the time of application
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to work on‑site in Dayton, OH, supporting a secure, customer‑facing environment
  • Able to sit or stand for extended periods while working at a computer workstation
  • Occasional lifting (up to approximately 25 lbs) for tasks such as moving equipment or racking hardware
