Microsoft Power Platform Technology Lead
Location: Chicago, Illinois (Hybrid)
Role Overview
We are seeking a Microsoft Power Platform Technology Lead for a short-term contract opportunity. This role will support the Security Architecture team by focusing on automation, AI solutions, and security-related initiatives to deliver prioritized projects and regulatory-driven enhancements. The ideal candidate is a hybrid of a Power Platform Developer, AI Automation Specialist, and Security Professional who can execute against a predefined plan and help the team meet critical objectives.
Key Responsibilities
  • Execute defined roadmap activities to advance security architecture maturity goals.
  • Guide the development and implementation of digital workflows, automation solutions, and collaborative platforms.
  • Provide consultation to business partners and technology teams to design and deliver scalable digital solutions.
  • Design and implement AI-powered solutions using Microsoft Copilot, AI Agents, MCP, RAG, prompt engineering, and Python-based automation.
  • Develop Power BI dashboards and reports for operational, risk, compliance, and performance metrics.
  • Manage digital initiatives using Agile delivery methodologies and tools such as Azure DevOps.
  • Integrate digital workflows across Microsoft 365, Azure Services, ServiceNow, and other third-party platforms.
Required Qualifications
Experience:
  • Five to seven or more years of experience in automation, process improvement, security architecture, or related roles.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience with the Microsoft Power Platform, including designing and implementing workflows with Power Automate.
  • Experience implementing AI-powered solutions, including AI agents and automation tools.
  • Background working within a security architecture or cybersecurity team environment.
  • Ability to contribute immediately with minimal ramp-up time in a fast-paced project environment.

Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and Power Platform technologies.
  • Understanding of security processes, information security concepts, cybersecurity principles, and identity and access management.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity domains, including identity, data, infrastructure, and cloud security.
  • Scripting experience related to AI solutions.

Education:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Microsoft Copilot is strongly preferred.
  • Professional certifications related to Microsoft Power Platform, Power BI, Azure Cloud, AI, or security.
  • Experience with the broader Microsoft ecosystem, including Azure, SharePoint, and Microsoft Teams.
  • Knowledge of integration tools and platforms such as ServiceNow and Azure DevOps.
  • Familiarity with knowledge management tools like Confluence for documentation and internal website maintenance.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and project coordination.
