LOCATION: Pentagon

STATUS: Open, Funded - Actively Recruiting

TRAVEL: Up to 10%

CLEARANCE: Active TS/SCI required

SALARY RANGE: The salary range the company expects to pay for this position is $158,000. - $177, 000. per year. Final salary will be determined based on experience, education, qualifications, contract requirements, and internal equity considerations.

DESCRIPTION: The CBRN Analyst (Mid-level)- Capability Integrator supports the functional area of Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear Defense (CBRND)/ Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD). 

Primary duties will include (but not limited to)

  • A deep understanding of CBRND/ CWMD theater vectors, biological/chemical/radiological hazards and how vulnerabilities manifest across operational environments.
  • Proficiency in assessing risk, evaluating the severity of capability gaps and determining the operational impact of unmitigated threats.
  • Understanding how material (hardware/equipment) solutions contribute to comprehensive risk reduction.
  • And bring the ability to rigorously review Research, Development, Test and Evaluation (RDTE) proposals to determine whether an emerging technology can realistically close a specific operational gap.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Knowledge of CBRND /CWMD plans, policies, capabilities, organizations and general efforts within Department of War (DOW).
  • Service Experience in health physics, radiation science, nuclear engineering or nuclear effects.  Understanding of radiation principles, detection, effects, exposure and hazard mitigation.
  • Knowledgeable in Service and Joint Forces operations and understanding Service capabilities.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • BA or BS degree required, MA/ MS desirable
  • At least 10-12 years of relevant technical area experience (comparable to retired/separated O4/CWO4/E9 or above or a former GS-13 or above).
  • Three (3) years’ experience on Joint Staff, OSD, COCOM or Service Staff
