Job Title: Part-Time Auto Mechanic (Entry to Mid-Level)

Location: Diamond Buick GMC-Alexandria, MN 

Job Type: Part-Time Saturdays 8am – 12pm optional Fridays if available

We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Part-Time Auto Mechanic to join our team. Whether you're starting your career in auto mechanics or have some hands-on experience, this position offers the perfect opportunity to grow and further develop your skills in a supportive, team-oriented environment.

Job Summary:
As a Part-Time Auto Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on a variety of vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine vehicle maintenance, such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, fluid checks, and more.
  • Communicate with customers regarding their vehicle's issues, repair status, and necessary services.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment by following proper safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Keep accurate records of services performed and parts used.

Qualifications:

  • Some hands-on experience in automotive repair, whether through prior jobs, internships, or technical training.
  • Basic knowledge of automotive systems and repairs.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members.
  • A valid driver’s license (required).
  • Must be able to lift and carry heavy parts and equipment as needed.

Preferred:

  • Previous experience with a variety of makes and models of vehicles.
  • A passion for automotive repair and a desire to learn.
