Mid-Level Plumbing Designer
Pay: $38.00- $43.00 per hour DOE
Plumbing Design โ€ข Revit โ€ข AutoCAD โ€ข Industrial & Pharmaceutical Facilities
Primarily remote with approximately 2 days/week in the Cincinnati, OH office. Occasional project site visits required.
We're looking for a Mid-Level Plumbing Designer in Cincinnati to independently perform plumbing design assignments for advanced industrial facility projects. You'll create plumbing designs for construction, coordinate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams and project management, and occasionally visit project sites to gather existing conditions. If you're passionate about buildings and construction and ready to work on some of the world's most state-of-the-art facilities, this role is for you.
What you'll do
  • Independently perform plumbing design assignments with general technical guidance on unusual or complex problems
  • Create plumbing designs for construction - waste and vent, domestic hot/cold water, and storm water systems
  • Coordinate work activities with design, engineering, and project management professionals
  • Perform clash detection and resolution within building system coordination workflows
  • Visit project sites to gather existing plumbing conditions and support construction activities
  • Collaborate with clients, construction teams, and multi-disciplinary design teams

What you need
  • 10 years of plumbing design experience - or 5 years with an Associate's degree in a related technical discipline
  • Practical experience with waste/vent, domestic hot and cold water, and storm water building systems
  • Proficient working knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD
  • General working knowledge of plumbing codes
  • Understanding of clash detection, clash resolution, and building system coordination
  • Must be local to or able to commute to Cincinnati, OH for a hybrid schedule

Nice to have
  • Industrial design experience including pharmaceutical manufacturing or similar
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Forward-thinking mindset with a drive to learn best practices and contribute innovative ideas
