Waterloo, IA– Full Time

 

Productive Resources (www.productiveresources.com) is seeking a candidate to be part of our engineering team at our customer's facility in Waterloo, IA. As a member of our team, the selected candidate will Provides quality planning, control, and improvement support for product development teams, manufacturing engineering, supply management, and manufacturing and/or distribution organizations to assure John Deere product quality meets the customers' expectations. This includes the application of quality tools within the Enterprise Product Delivery Process (EPDP), Enterprise Order Fulfillment Process (EOFP) and Customer Support Process (CSP). Also supports application of quality tools with key suppliers as an integral element of quality planning.

This is a full-time position that is indefinite in duration with the opportunity of professional growth, and additional opportunities within our organization.


Duties:

  • Will be a New Product (PDP) Supplier Quality Engineer supporting Large Tractor new product programs.
  • Will execute quality planning procedures related to the metal fabrication commodity.
  • Supplier (external) Quality working with all metal fabrication suppliers – roughly 80% of the split work.
  • Executing Quality Plan Level (QPL), Design Process and Assembly Review (DPAR), and PPAP for parts outsourced.
  • Supporting other commodities as needed – roughly 20% of the split work.
  • Build support for experimental builds working through containment and issue resolution.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree (4-year) in Industrial, Engineering, Manufacturing or Technology related discipline.
  • Manufacturing experience.
  • Working practice of quality planning methodology.
  • Metal fabrication / weld background.

Preferred:

  • At least 1 year of experience working with metal fabrication suppliers.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a supplier quality role.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to changing priority.
  • Experience with SAP.
