Job description

Calling your doctor shouldn't be harder than seeing your doctor. But at most practices, patients wait on hold, front-office staff drown in ring queues, and revenue walks out the door with every missed call.

Transform9 builds AI agents that answer every call for physician practices - scheduling appointments, routing callers, and resolving routine requests in seconds, around the clock. Our agents integrate directly with each practice's EHR, practice management, and phone systems, and adapt to how their front office actually works.

Our agents have handled millions of patient calls for thousands of providers, cut average hold times by 90%, and decreased call abandonment by 80%. We're headquartered in Birmingham, AL, and growing fast.

About the role

The Provisioning apps team builds the applications that bring Transform9's AI voice agents to life for each customer. Your primary users are the people running healthcare front offices - Call Center Managers, IT Managers, and Practice Administrators - who configure, launch, and manage voice agents for their organizations. You'll own the full stack of these provisioning applications, from the UIs these operators interact with to the backend services that configure and deploy agents at scale.

What you'll do

  • Design and build full-stack provisioning applications used by Transform9's direct customers to configure and deploy voice agents
  • Own the end-to-end user experience for non-technical operators - making complex agent configuration simple, fast, and reliable
  • Build scalable backend services that interface with the Core Platform to provision, update, and manage voice agents
  • Develop production-grade software that meets HIPAA and healthcare security standards
  • Participate in code review and contribute to engineering standards
  • Debug production issues and own features through their full lifecycle - design, build, test, deploy, monitor
  • Collaborate with Customer Success and Product to understand operator workflows and translate them into great UX

Requirements

  • 8+ years building production full-stack applications
  • Strong proficiency across frontend (React or equivalent) and backend (Python, TypeScript, or equivalent)
  • Experience building operator-facing or admin tooling for SaaS products
  • Comfort working across the stack - from UI to API to data layer
  • Strong UX instincts with an ability to design for non-technical end users
  • Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, authentication, and systems integration
  • Comfort with rapid iteration and ambiguity in a fast-moving environment

Nice to have

  • Experience with configuration management, workflow builders, or multi-tenant SaaS platforms
  • HIPAA-regulated or compliance-heavy environment experience
  • Voice/telephony, LLM, or conversational AI product experience
  • Background building tools used by healthcare operations or IT teams

Benefits

  • Top-tier health coverage: medical, dental & vision
  • 401(k)
  • Paid time off + holidays, and paid parental leave

If you want to fix the front door of healthcare, we'd love to hear from you.
