Job description

Role Summary
The DevOps Engineer (Mid-Level) plays a hands-on role in building and operating SCIA's automation platform. This role owns discrete automation capabilities end-to-end, contributing production-quality Infrastructure-as-Code, pipelines, and operational tooling that improve security posture, reliability, and cost efficiency across Azure environments.

Primary Responsibilities
- Design, enhance, and maintain Azure Infrastructure-as-Code using ARMmodules and examples
- Build and operate CI/CD pipelines in Jenkins and GitHub used to validate, package, and release SCIA automation
- Develop operational automation supporting patching, scaling, diagnostics enforcement, cost optimization, and policy compliance
- Lead technical onboarding engagements with application teams and resolve deployment or configuration issues
- Participate in PI planning, backlog refinement, and change-managed release activities
- Perform code reviews and provide technical guidance to junior engineers

Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, or infrastructure automation roles
- Hands-on experience deploying and operating workloads in Microsoft Azure
- Strong automation and scripting skills using Python, PowerShell, or Bash
- 2-5 years of hands-on experience with JavaScript and/or TypeScript for automation, tooling, or CI/CD pipeline development
- Experience working in enterprise environments with formal change management and release controls

Expected Impact
Within the first 6-12 months, this role will own key automation components, reduce friction for onboarding teams, and contribute measurable improvements to platform reliability, security, and Azure cost efficiency.

The salary range provided in this job posting is intended to reflect the general market value for the position. The actual salary offered may vary based on factors such as the candidate's experience, qualifications, skills, and the specific requirements of the role. This range may also be subject to change as market conditions evolve. We encourage open communication throughout the interview process to discuss compensation expectations. For base-salary + commission sales roles, the range represents On-Target Earnings.

$109,704.06 - $164,556.10 (USD)
