Physical Therapist

CGS is seeking a Physical Therapist to join our team supporting the healthcare mission of a large federal agency. This position will allow candidates to demonstrate expertise in providing healthcare support tasks such as injury prevention, fitness exams, readiness reports, and rehab programs.

Job Description:

You will help maximize the physical readiness and long-term health of fighter aircrew by addressing musculoskeletal (MSK) injuries, particularly related to neck and back pain caused by flight demands. As a multidisciplinary team member, you will be an important part of the injury prevention, performance enhancement, and rehabilitation aspects of fighter aircrew.

Duties and Responsibilities:
-Conduct MSK Evaluations and Interventions.
-Design, Implement, and monitor individualized injury prevention and rehabilitation programs.
-Order Imaging, Labs, and Specialist consultations as needed.
-Documentation of work performed in approved electronic record systems.
-Educate Aircrew and leadership on injury prevention, ergonomics, and recovery strategies.
-Comply with all DHA, DoD, and MTF protocols.
-Other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
-Doctor of Physical Therapy from CAPTE-accredited program.
-3+ years' experience as a PT in Collegiate, Professional, Olympic, Tactical (military), Aerospace industry, or similar environment supporting man-machine high-performance. Experience must include recency within the last 2 years.
-Current (or ability to obtain prior to start date) healthcare provider Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification including Automated External Defibrillator (AED) certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
-Current (or ability to obtain and maintain) Secret security clearance (T3 background investigation)
-Must be a U.S. citizen

Preferred Qualifications:
-5+ years' experience as a PT in Collegiate, Professional, Olympic, Tactical (military), Aerospace industry, or similar environment supporting man-machine high-performance. Experience must include recency within the last 2 years.
-At least one of the following:
*ABPTS OCS or SCS certification; or
*Orthopedic or Sports residency / Fellowship Trained; or
*Advanced Dry Needling Certification (Level 2) and Orthopedic Manual Therapy (OMT) Certification.
