Job description

At Hart & Hickman (H&H), we're looking for an experienced environmental consultant who's technically strong, client-focused, and ready to take ownership of projects. If you're eager to grow into a leadership role within a collaborative, quality-driven firm, you'll fit right in.

At H&H, our mid-level professionals don't sit on the sidelines-they drive solutions, lead conversations, and help shape both project outcomes and company culture. Our goal is to develop the next generation of firm leaders, and we actively support those ready to grow.

What You'll Do
  • Manage complex site assessment and remediation projects from start to finish

  • Collaborate with clients, regulators, and internal teams to move projects forward

  • Mentor junior staff and support team development

  • Develop technical strategies, budgets, and high-quality deliverables

What We're Looking For
  • 5 to 10 years of environmental consulting experience

  • Strong background in environmental site assessment and remediation, including:

    • Phase I/II ESAs

    • Vapor intrusion assessment

    • NC Brownfields and voluntary cleanup programs

  • Experience working with state programs in North and South Carolina

  • Proven project management skills-technical, financial, and team-related

  • A proactive, self-directed approach with a collaborative mindset
