WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
As a BIM Coordinator III, you’ll support how BIM/VDC workflows are planned, executed, and tracked across projects. Working closely with project teams and digital leadership, you’ll help implement standards, maintain model quality, and ensure BIM is effectively supporting coordination and delivery. You’ll play a hands-on role across the project lifecycle, including:
  • Project Setup amp; Execution: Help establish BIM/VDC workflows, standards, and project setup to support coordination and deliverables
  • Model Coordination amp; Quality: Lead or support coordination efforts, including clash detection, model reviews, and issue tracking
  • Project Reporting amp; Insights: Track model progress and coordination status, helping provide clear updates to project teams
  • Construction amp; Turnover Support: Assist with model-based workflows during construction and support deliverables such as as-builts and turnover models
  • Tool Use amp; Support: Help teams apply BIM/VDC tools effectively and provide day-to-day support for workflows and coordination
Your focus will be on making BIM/VDC work effectively at the project level—ensuring models are accurate, coordinated, and aligned with project needs. In support of these efforts, the following is a list of primary responsibilities of this role:
Responsibilities
  • Proactively communicate with project teams to ensure alignment on BIM/VDC priorities and progress
  • Support and enforce BIM standards, workflows, and model organization
  • Run and manage coordination processes (clash detection, issue tracking, model integration)
  • Collect feedback on tools and workflows, and help identify improvements
  • Support the development of project BIM Execution Plans and coordination strategies
  • Assist with onboarding and training of project team members on BIM tools and workflows
  • Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and internal teams to support model exchange and integration
Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Engineering, Architecture, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5 - 8+ years of experience in BIM/VDC, coordination, or related roles
  • Strong proficiency with BIM/VDC tools (e.g., Revit, Navisworks, ACC)
  • Experience with model coordination, clash detection, and issue tracking workflows
  • Ability to interpret models and data to support coordination and project decisions
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • BIM/VDC certifications (e.g., Autodesk, CM-BIM, building SMART/IFC)
  • Experience in complex project types (Design-Build, life sciences, industrial, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Dynamo or other automation tools
  • Experience supporting construction-phase BIM/VDC workflows
  • Interest in improving workflows, tools, and team capabilities
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Extended periods of sitting while working at a computer, with frequent use of keyboard and mouse, and multiple monitors.
  • Ability to participate in virtual and in-person meetings
  • View, interpret, and discuss digital models and drawings
  • Visual acuity sufficient for detailed on-screen models and drawings
  • Hearing and verbal communication are sufficient for meetings and coordination calls
  • Occasional local or regional travel to project sites, offices, or client meetings
  • Ability to walk active construction sites (when required); Navigate stairs, uneven surfaces, or temporary site conditions
  • Minimal lifting of laptops, monitors, or printed materials, generally no more than 10-25 pounds.
