Systems Engineer, Mid-Level

Location: Moorestown, NJ
Employment Type: Full-Time

Position Overview

We are seeking a Mid-Level Systems Engineer to support the design, development, and verification of web-based user interfaces for complex defense systems. This position will work as part of an integrated engineering team alongside systems engineers, software developers, and domain experts.

The ideal candidate will have a strong systems engineering background with experience in requirements development, DOORS/Jazz, Cameo modeling, and user interface design or prototyping using Figma. Prior experience supporting naval combat systems or similar complex defense environments is highly desired.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and refine system and software requirements for web-based user interfaces.
  • Author and manage requirement specification changes using DOORS and/or Jazz.
  • Develop system models and engineering artifacts using Cameo.
  • Support user interface design and prototyping using Figma.
  • Develop detailed design documentation for new capabilities and enhancements.
  • Conduct peer reviews and coordinate requirement changes through closure.
  • Collaborate closely with systems engineers, software developers, domain experts, and other engineering organizations.
  • Develop test procedures for new and existing user interface requirements.
  • Support software implementation, integration, and testing activities.
  • Perform requirements verification to confirm proper implementation of newly developed and existing capabilities.
  • Investigate technical issues and problem reports, perform root cause analysis, and coordinate issues through resolution.
  • Provide systems engineering guidance and feedback during software design, code, unit test, and integration activities.
  • Support product verification, regression testing, and system-level engineering activities.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, Applied Mathematics, Information Technology, or a closely related STEM discipline.
  • Professional experience supporting systems engineering activities within complex technical environments.
  • Experience developing, documenting, and managing technical requirements.
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary systems and software engineering teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-based engineering environment.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Active Secret security clearance required.
  • Ability to work full-time onsite in Moorestown, NJ.
