We are currently in search of an experienced Van Driver for our Dover, DE location. The Van Driver at Kolmac Integrated Behavioral Health and all of its subsidiaries ("Kolmac" or the "Company") is responsible for providing safe, reliable, and timely transportation for clients receiving behavioral health and substance use treatment services. This role ensures clients are transported to and from treatment programs, medical appointments, and other approved locations while maintaining a supportive, respectful, and professional environment. The driver also assists in maintaining vehicle safety and compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • 30 hours per week
  • Safely transport clients to and from treatment programs, medical appointments, and approved community locations.
  • Operate 12-15 passenger vans in accordance with Department of Transportation (DOT), Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), and state safety regulations when applicable.
  • Maintain adherence to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and organizational transportation policies.
  • Ensure timely pick-up and drop-off schedules while maintaining flexibility for program needs.
  • Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts and report maintenance issues promptly.
  • Always maintain the cleanliness and safety of the vehicle.
  • Document transportation activities, including mileage, passenger logs, and incident reports.
  • Provide respectful and supportive interaction with clients in accordance with trauma-informed care principles.
  • Communicate any client concerns, behavioral issues, or safety concerns to the appropriate staff.
  • Follow confidentiality policies and HIPAA regulations regarding client information.
  • Assist staff with basic client support during transport as needed.
  • Participate in required training, including safety and behavioral health awareness.
  • Ensure proper seatbelt use and passenger safety protocols at all times.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications - Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass background check, drug screening, and driving record verification.
  • Previous experience driving passenger vans or working in healthcare, behavioral health, or human services preferred.
  • CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)

Expected Travel 30% within the state or District to promote the awareness of Kolmac/CCG and provide training to the community.
The pay for this position is $18-$20 per hour. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, licensure, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
