Job description

Mid-Level Programmer Analyst

Company:

The Boeing Company's Information Digital Technology & Security (IDT&S) is currently seeking a Mid-Level Programmer Analyst to support the Interactive Electronic Technical Manual (IETM) for the Apache program. This hybrid position is based in Mesa, AZ.

The ideal candidate will work within a complex, fastpaced environment delivering technical solutions that primarily support, property, products, and information. This individual must have strong technical analysis, communication, organizational, and collaboration skills to perform effectively in a dynamic environment. This pivotal role will focus on developing, maintaining and providing support for the IETM for the Apache programs.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Designs, programs, tests, implements, documents, and maintains computing applications, software, and application systems

  • Gathers and evaluates end-user requirements

  • Writes and compiles code and constructs database objects based on documented design

  • Analyzes information to determine architecture specifications, software compatibility parameters, application security needs, and other application architecture requirements

  • Modifies or upgrades applications to maintain software functionality

  • Identifies and resolves programming or application architecture issues

  • Reviews system performance and recommends improvements

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience with application development in one or more programming languages such as C#/C-Sharp, .NET, C, C++, Java, Python, R, SQL, Pro*C/C++, Perl, Shell Scripting, and Web/HTML technologies (JavaScript, jQuery, HTML5, web services, REST, microservices etc.)

  • 3+ years of experience using SQL for application interactions with databases (i.e. Oracle, MYSQL, SQL Server, etc.)

  • 1+ years of experience with .NET application development

  • 1+ years of experience utilizing Test Driven Development (TDD) and understanding CI/CD

  • 1+ years of experience with secure software development methodologies and security-first mindset

  • 1+ years of experience with cloud-platform technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP)

  • 1+ years of experience developing and maintaining relationships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or an equivalent technical degree

  • Experience in Front-end development with (HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, JavaScript, React, and or TypeScript)

  • Experience building scalable web applications using React and TypeScript using Material UI (MUI) react component library

  • Experience modernizing, refactoring, or migrating legacy applications to the cloud

  • Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as code completion, automated testing, and code-review assistants, or spec-driven development workflows to accelerate delivery and improve code quality

  • Relevant certifications in Azure, AWS, Kubernetes, or DevOps

  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, organizational, and collaboration skills

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, which may include early mornings, late evenings, weekends, or other off-hours support on occasion
