FM/IM Medical Director Amarillo, TX Northwest Texas Healthcare System is recruiting a Medical Director for an employed position with a busy community health clinic. The clinic has been operating for almost twenty years, and offers primary care and OB/Gyn services, as well as a pharmacy, lab, and imaging. Other services include full-time professional counseling; disease management nurses; and a Coumadin clinic. The clinic’s staff has four physicians as well as one mid-level. The clinic maintains four locations, with two more locations scheduled to open soon, and coverage at only one hospital. Physicians average 15 to 20 patients per day in office; any patients admitted to the hospital are cared for by the in-house Hospitalist service. Call is shared equally among the staff. The clinic enjoys a teamwork-oriented atmosphere focused on quality patient care. Ideal candidates will be BC/BE in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine, and have a strong knowledge of population management. The Director’s position will involve approximately 60% patient care and 40% administrative duties. Spanish-speaking ability preferred. Compensation will include a competitive base salary with RVU-based bonus structure, full employed benefits package as well as a stipend.
