Mid Level Amazon Dsp information

Where do DSPs get paid the most?

Mid-level Amazon DSPs tend to earn higher wages in regions with a higher cost of living and greater demand for delivery services, such as urban areas or economically developed states. Compensation can also vary based on experience, shift hours, and company policies, with some locations offering bonuses or incentives for performance. Overall, DSPs generally earn more in areas with competitive labor markets and higher operational costs.

What are Mid Level Amazon DSPs?

Mid Level Amazon DSPs, or Delivery Service Partners, are companies or individuals who operate delivery businesses that contract with Amazon to deliver packages. At the mid-level, these DSPs have typically gained some experience in running their operations, managing a fleet of delivery vans, and leading driver teams. They are responsible for ensuring timely deliveries, maintaining safety standards, and meeting Amazon’s performance metrics. Mid Level DSPs often focus on optimizing their operations and expanding their business within Amazon’s logistics network.

What is the difference between Mid Level Amazon Dsp vs Amazon Delivery Associate?

AspectMid Level Amazon DspAmazon Delivery Associate
CredentialsDriver's license, background check, some delivery experienceValid driver's license, background check
Work EnvironmentOperates delivery vans, manages routes, supervises delivery staffDelivers packages directly to customers, primarily on foot or by vehicle
Employer & IndustryAmazon Logistics, delivery service providersAmazon Logistics, delivery network

Mid Level Amazon Dsp roles typically involve managing delivery routes and supervising delivery staff, requiring some experience and leadership skills. In contrast, Amazon Delivery Associates focus on delivering packages directly to customers, with less managerial responsibility. Both roles require a valid driver's license and background checks, but the Dsp position often involves more operational oversight.

What are some common challenges faced by mid-level Amazon DSP drivers, and how are they typically addressed?

Mid-level Amazon DSP (Delivery Service Partner) drivers often encounter challenges such as navigating tight delivery timelines, adapting to route changes, and managing a high volume of packages, especially during peak seasons. To address these challenges, DSPs provide drivers with route optimization tools, ongoing training, and support from dispatch teams. Additionally, experienced drivers often develop efficient packing and delivery routines, and collaborate with their fellow drivers to share tips and resolve on-the-job issues, fostering a supportive team environment.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Mid Level Amazon DSP (Delivery Service Partner) driver, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Mid Level Amazon DSP driver, you need a valid driver’s license, a good driving record, familiarity with local routes, and experience in delivery or logistics roles. Competence with handheld delivery devices, GPS navigation systems, and safety protocols is important. Reliability, time management, customer service skills, and the ability to stay calm under pressure help drivers excel. These skills ensure efficient, safe, and accurate deliveries while maintaining a positive customer experience.

How much do Amazon DSPs get paid?

Amazon DSPs (Delivery Service Partners) typically earn between $15 and $25 per hour, depending on location, experience, and performance. Many DSP drivers work full-time or part-time schedules, with some earning additional bonuses or incentives based on delivery volume and efficiency.

Will Amazon pay you $28 an hour to work from home?

Amazon DSP (Delivery Service Partner) drivers typically earn around $15 to $20 per hour, depending on location and experience, and this role usually involves working in a vehicle rather than from home. While some Amazon roles may offer higher pay, most delivery driver positions are not remote and do not pay $28 an hour. Remote customer service or technical roles at Amazon may have different pay scales, but delivery positions generally do not meet that rate.

Is it hard to get into Amazon DSP?

Mid Level Amazon DSP roles typically require relevant experience in digital advertising, programmatic platforms, or logistics, along with strong organizational skills. The application process involves multiple interviews and assessments, making it competitive but achievable with proper preparation and skills. Familiarity with tools like Amazon Advertising Console can be beneficial.

Job description

About Us

We are a locally owned and operated Amazon Delivery Service Partner based in the Metro Detroit area. We run a fleet of delivery vehicles and a team of professional Delivery Associates completing thousands of deliveries every week. Were a company built on continuous improvement, operating efficiently, and rolling out change the right way clearly, professionally, and with our teams buy-in.

The Role

Were looking for an Operations Manager to work alongside our General Manager and ownership team. This is a hands-on leadership role: youll run the day-to-day operation, lead a team of drivers and dispatchers, own performance metrics, and help drive hiring and strategic improvements across the business. If you like solving problems in real time, coaching people, and seeing your decisions show up in the numbers, this role is for you.

What Youll Do

  • Lead daily delivery operations: route launch, dispatch oversight, driver check-ins, and end-of-day close-out
  • Supervise and develop a support team of dispatchers/openers/closers and a roster of Delivery Associates
  • Support recruiting and hiring: screening candidates, conducting interviews, and coordinating onboarding with our HR partner
  • Monitor and improve performance metrics (safety, delivery quality, customer feedback, attendance) using Amazons DSP scorecard
  • Operate and manage core systems including the Amazon DSP portal, Amazon Flex, Netradyne (driver safety), Geotab (fleet tracking), and ADP
  • Coordinate fleet readiness: vehicle assignments, inspections (DVIC), maintenance scheduling, and rental coordination
  • Coach drivers on safety and delivery standards; document and follow up on incidents professionally and consistently
  • Partner with the General Manager on staffing plans, capacity planning, and process improvements
  • Communicate clearly and positively with the team when rolling out changes explaining the why, not just the what

What Were Looking For

  • 3+ years of experience in logistics, delivery, transportation, or operations management (last-mile or Amazon DSP experience strongly preferred)
  • 2+ years leading teams hiring, scheduling, coaching, and holding people accountable with respect
  • Comfortable learning and running operational software; experience with Amazon DSP tools, Netradyne, or Geotab is a plus
  • Strong communication skills able to motivate an energetic team and deliver tough feedback constructively
  • Data-driven mindset: you read a scorecard, find the trend, and act on it
  • Valid drivers license and a driving record that meets company insurance requirements
  • Availability for early mornings, and flexibility for occasional weekends/holidays as the operation requires
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen, conducted in accordance with applicable law

Physical Requirements (Essential Functions)

This role is based in an active delivery station environment. Essential functions include standing and walking for extended periods, occasionally lifting packages up to 50 lbs, and moving safely around vehicles and loading areas. Reasonable accommodations will be provided in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act and Michigans Persons with Disabilities Civil Rights Act.

What We Offer

  • $65,000 annual salary
  • Performance-based incentive opportunities
  • Paid time off
  • A leadership team that invests in improvement yours and the companys
  • Clear growth path in a growing operation (were absorbing new delivery territory)

Schedule

Full-time. Primary schedule is early morning through mid-afternoon, aligned to route launch and dispatch operations. Some flexibility required during peak season and coverage situations.

Equal Opportunity Employer

We are an Equal Opportunity Employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy, sexual orientation, or gender identity), national origin, age, disability, height, weight, marital status, veteran status, genetic information, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local law, including the Michigan Elliott-Larsen Civil Rights Act.

Employment with the Company is at-will. This job posting describes the general nature of the role and is not an exhaustive list of duties; responsibilities may be adjusted to meet business needs. The Company is an independently owned and operated business that contracts with Amazon; employees are employed solely by the Company, not by Amazon. The employers identity will be disclosed to candidates selected for interviews.
