Mid-Level Project Manager (Pipeline)

Job Level: W2T Consultant 

Job Location: On-site/Hybrid (Must be local to Chicago)

Travel Expectations: Up to 25% on average 

Job Classification: Full-Time, Temporary (W2T)  

 Pipeline Opportunity - Future Consulting Engagements

This position is part of a pipeline requisition created to identify and engage qualified consultants for anticipated, upcoming client work. While there is not an immediate assignment available, we are actively building a pool of talent for future Mid-Level Project Managers to Operations needs. Candidates selected through this process may be contacted as opportunities become available.

In this role, you will: 

  • Track and manage projects submitted for IMO Governance review to support reporting, tracking, and agenda preparation
  • Support Initiate Gate (bi-weekly) and Deployment Authority (periodic) forums, including agenda management, pre-reads, scheduling, and feeder meetings
  • Record, circulate, and track minutes, actions, and decisions to ensure follow-through
  • Collate consulting spend projections during Initiate and Design phases (iPLC) to support three-year financial planning
  • Drive closure of follow-ups raised during governance forums to enable timely project approvals
  • Provide limited executive support for VP Deployment (travel, expenses, light diary management)

Who You Are: 

  • 4-7 years of project management, PMO, or governance support experience
  • High-energy, detail-oriented professional with a strong bias for action
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and engaging with multiple stakeholders
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced, consulting environment
  • Nice-to-Have Experience Tools: iPLC, Planview, Clarity, ServiceNow PPM, MS Excel & PowerPoint Methodologies: Agile, Waterfall, hybrid delivery models; stage-gate governance
  • Experience supporting IMO, PMO, or enterprise portfolio governance
  • Prior consulting or large-scale enterprise program experience
