Position SummaryThe Part-Time Operations Agent supports airport-wide operations within the Airport Operations Center (AOC). This position is responsible for maintaining safe, secure, and efficient airport operations through real-time coordination, communications, regulatory compliance, and incident response support.
This role functions as an operational position performing AOC-based coordination duties, ensuring continuous situational awareness, communication, and operational support during assigned shifts. Responsibilities include coordinating aircraft movements and airport operational activities, assisting the Incident Commander during airport emergencies, and coordinating with mutual aid agencies, tenants, and other airport stakeholders. The position requires the ability to multitask in a dynamic environment, adapt quickly to evolving procedures and operational priorities, and maintain professional telephone etiquette with clear, concise, and effective communication at all times.
The incumbent will receive structured training on airfield operations and airport badging office procedures to support airport safety and security when staffing or operational needs require. Incumbent must successfully qualify as an authorized airfield driver and Part 139 airfield inspector prior to progressing into full AOC operational duties and responsibilities.
Work Schedule:Schedule OverviewMaximum: Up to 29 hours per week
Typical schedule: 3-4 shifts per week
Schedule may include evenings, weekends, and holidays
During the first two months of training, hours will be flexible and primarily scheduled between 0800-1600 or 1400-2200
Shifts available:Evening Shift: Monday - Wednesday 1400-2200; Thursday 1400-1900
