Job description

Atlantic Health System's Hire Learner Nurse Residency Program is one year focused on building a solid foundation for your nursing career. The program includes classroom, simulation, and unit-based preceptorship while focusing on the continuum of care. Pay rate is $43.00 per hour.

Program criteria:

  • Non-BSN graduates will be required to complete their BSN within 5 years of employment
  • All participants are asked to agree to a 2-year employment commitment at Atlantic Health System 
  • An official transcript and two letters of recommendation from nursing instructors will be required once you are in the interview process

  • Strengthen self-confidence and competence in the ability to provide leadership at the point of care.

    Education:

    • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Program required
    • BSN or equivalent preferred
      • All ASN must complete their BSN studies within five years of their start date

    License/Certification:

    • A valid NJ Nursing License or a valid Compact Nursing License required upon hire
    • BLS certification required

    Relevant Experience:

    • Nursing Assistant, Patient Care Technician or Medical Assistant experience is preferred
    • Completion of a nursing extern program is preferred
    • Dedicated Education Unit (DEU) and immersion students preferred
